With the recent news of the data breach at Optus still at the forefront of everyone’s minds, it’s a good time for businesses to review their own cyber defences, and what actions they should take to protect themselves, their staff, and their customers.

The Australia Signals Directorate has produced a series of mitigation strategies called the Essential Eight as a guide for business to benchmark themselves and understand the 8 most common vulnerabilities in an organisation.
